The Web Meeting Room uses something called "Java".
If it doesn't seem to work:

  • Internet Explorer users: make sure you have the Virtual Machine installed and switched on.
Go to: Tools >> Internet Options >> Advanced >> JIT Compiler for Virtual Machine enabled (put a tick in here and restart your computer).
  • Netscape users: go to Edit >> Preferences >> Advanced >> Enable Java (put a tick here)
  • Opera users: ensure you have the Sun Opera Java engine installed. (If you are using Opera, you will know about this already).

The Web Meeting Room can be booked by Communicate staff, Communicate Link Therapists and other colleagues to discuss professional issues. To get through the password gate you need the "User Name" of the room and the password for the meeting. The User Name for the room will be easy to remember, eg.

Web meetings may be "hosted" by Communicate staff, or you can book the room and organise a web meeting yourself.

When a Web Meeting is scheduled by Communicate staff, we will invite participants by emailing the topic, date and time of the meeting, the "User Name" for the room and the password for the Web Meeting. We will make the password easy to remember, by relating it to the topic of the meeting.

If you want to host a meeting.
Please contact Communicate.

You should invite participants as you would for a normal meeting. Tell them the:

If you want to include Communicate staff, please remember to invite us - we would not assume we were invited just because you have booked the meeting room.
